StarSongs was the result of a 2001 commission for the Juilliard Precollege Chorale, directed by Rebecca Scott. This 18-minute cantata for youthful voices supported by flute, cello, and harp expresses the composer's sense of connection to distant planets, stars, galaxies, and the universe as a whole.
